PCD Safe is a simple program written by Poryhack as an alternative to using Pokesav to move wonder cards (PCD files) in and out of the save file. This is especially necessary due to unfixed bugs and language compatibility issues in all versions of Pokesav that can cause data corruption in wonder cards. It is recommended that you always extract PCD files that you intend to contribute to the event pokémon section with PCD Safe.
PCD Safe does not have a GUI, but use is still very simple. To extract a PCD file from your save, simply drag a compatible save file onto the executable and provide any information the program requests of you. To import a PCD file to your save file, hold control and select both the save file and the PCD to be imported, then drag the two onto the executable as with extracting.
For those of you using the import function, understand that the loading of PGT files and the modification of the wondercard ID register must be done separately (although this particular step can be left out). If you try do this after importing the PCD, it will become corrupted. Any time you access the mystery gift window and then save cards will be subject to corruption. For this reason it is critical that you first load your PGTs with Pokesav and do any other editing, and then use PGT safe to import the PCD.
As some of you may know, PCD Safe started as a PHP script on Pokesav.org and later here on PP. It worked but it didn't fix checksums and really just was better suited for offline use. The new PCD Safe is far superior, I assure you.
